FML.  i was about to apply for—and was likely to get—an internship in Cambodia.  It’s a program that my school has participated in for over a decade.  Essentially, I would have had the opportunity to work with the legal counsel that is trying the Khmer Rouge for the genocide they committed in the 70’s.

the program, or the person heading it is leaving or has left this year.  After I wrote out my letter of interest, prepared my resume, and thought about this for a long time, i can’t even apply anymore.

I’m gonna try to look at this in an optimistic manner and tell myself that i’m free to seek other opportunities in other parts of the world, but i’m so let down right now.
