keepin’ it all together has not been easy…

that point in the night when you realize, “nope, i’m not gonna do work”.

(just happened now)

in 2009 I made a conscious decision to enjoy life and do something fulfilling. I quit my (good) job with JP Morgan Chase and became a broke student, living at home off my savings and student loans.

I quit because I envisioned myself doing something bigger and better than shoving useless financial products down peoples throats so that I can meet my quota and make a commission.

Nobody dreams of becoming a corporate drone, it just happens.  Being in school is like being on a local, scenic road.  You’re just cruising along, taking it all in, and enjoying every moment, however; once you leave you’re on the highway. Suddenly you have bills, responsibilities, people are offering you jobs (well, back when the economy was decent), and you’re just running without really looking, you wanna get “there” but you don’t really know where “there” is.

It happens to everyone.  It happened to me, i woke up, but now it’s sort of happening again. 

I hope that my awareness will save me, but it’s not easy.

there is a very thin line between being a jobless bum who’s a “dreamer” and a workaholic drone who see’s nothing but debits and credits.
