Buffalo continues to impress…

i had a “beef on weck” sandwich at the famous Schwabl’s restaurant (est. in 1837..thats like 25 year before the civil war!)

its been rated one of the top ten sandwiches in the US and Anthony Bourdain has been there so I had to try it.

it was really good.  the beef was really tender and flavorful and the “weck” is a salted pumpernickel bread which really gives it a nice flavor.

I’ve been to Niagara Falls a few times before so no real surprises there, however, still nice and a tru natural wonder. (though the Canadian side is sooo much nicer than the US side)

all in all, i enjoyed my stay in Buffalo…now lets see what Detroit has to offer…

ok, so far it’s not as bad as I thought.  In fact, I’ll even go so far and say; i’m actually enjoying my time here.

the wings really are phenomenal…possibly the best i’ve ever had (and this is coming from a self proclaimed wing afficionado) and the downtown area is actually really nice.

a lot of good places to eat and plenty of bars, cafes, parks and squares to hang out at.

not bad Buffalo, certainly better than i expected…
